At this time you are in the first day or hours after your surgery. You may feel swollen and uncomfortable. The discomforts are greatest during the first 72 hours and after this time they are quite tolerable.

Try to sleep on your back or on your side, it is possible that when you sleep on your side, you wake up with your face more inflamed on one side than on the other, this happens because due to gravity the inflammatory fluids migrate to the areas that are below. If this happens, it goes away on its own, throughout the day.

If you see the pillow stained with a little blood, it's normal, don't panic.

In the morning, it will be your first bath, so that the wound is very clean, you must take care that soap and water falls on the area.

It is possible that after the bath, a little bloody liquid continues to come out of the wound, especially from the wound. We recommend putting clean and new gauze pads in the area so that this liquid drains there.

Wearing a girdle supporting the face at first is uncomfortable, but after a few days your body will get used to wearing it. This girdle should be used day and night about 6 weeks. We know that it is not possible to use it during work periods, in those cases you can remove it to work and put it back on when you are at home.

Once each bath is finished you can spray a little antiseptic spray (MICRODACYN) on the wound and the sutures, then put your girdle on top. The black sutures that are in the wound will be removed between the 10th and 15th day after surgery, as the wound heals. If we consider that they require more time, more time is left.

It is possible that the wound area starts to itch, this will go away when the sutures are removed and to alleviate this discomfort you can apply some indirect cold to the area. Also swelling, bruising and irregularities are normal at this stage.

Remember not to make great efforts. You should rest. After the first 10 days you will be able to do more activities, not exercise. Until within 45 days.

Smoking or drinking alcohol is definitely restricted for the next 20 days.

It is important to follow the care as explained in this form or dictated by the doctor. Any complication derived for reasons external to the procedure will be covered by the patient.
